Simple Registry Hack To Make Fool To Windows XP Service Pack 2 Into Thinking Its Running Windows XP Service Pack 3
Mostly users run on their machine windows xp sp2 but sometimes we have to overcome with the programs or software which strictly need windows xp sp3 enviornment to run. But what if we can install and run windows xp sp3 program or software on windows xp sp2. Here is the simple registry trick to make it possible.
Warning!:Improper registry editing can make your windows unbootable.
1. Open the Registry Editor.(by typing regedit.exe in Start>>Run)
2. Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows
3. Double-click the DWORD value CSDVersion and change the value data from 200 to 300.
4. Click OK.
5. Close the Registry Editor.
6. Reboot the machine.
Now you can install and run your Win SP3 softwares on Win SP2
